Big Trees in Fall
This Big Trees in Fall travel print is a limited edition giclee print of an original watercolor illustration painted by Dave Christian in 2025. It features a trail that meanders through the North grove of the Calaveras Big Trees State Park. This State Park is home to two groves of the world's largest trees, the giant Sequoia. The hand lettered "Calaveras Big Trees State Park" and bold color of the Sequoia trees details the location and subject matter of this painting. This scene depicts the changing of the seasons into autumn with hues of golds, oranges and reds contrasted against the greens of the never changing coniferous pines, firs, cedars and sequoias. This painting seeks to evoke the cool and crisp feeling of fall while walking amongst the giants.
