This “Dancing on the Big Stump” travel print is a limited edition giclee print of an original watercolor illustration painted by Dave Christian in 2022. This painting veers from Dave’s typical style of photorealism featuring a folk band and dancers having a good ole’ Hootenanny on the Big Stump among the giant sequoias of Calaveras Big Trees State Park.  This intended historic piece features a Mark Twain character dressed in his signature white suit, pays tribute to the era of his writing, the fashion of the time period and the days of mining and the search for gold. Even the type font and banners pay attention to this historic time period with the Industrial revolution and westward expansion at the turn of the 19th century.
